Where to begin? Researching your family history can seem overwhelming if you don't know how to start. Make it simple. Don't think about what you don't know; just write down what you do know. Get a pedigree form and put yourself on line 1. Add your parents on lines 2 and 3. If you know your grandparents on either or both sides, add them. Put as much information as you know, and don't worry about what you don't know. Just get what you know on paper. If you have living relatives who can fill in some of the blanks, ask them.
